History of the company

The ceramic printing company BEYRAND was founded in Limoges in 1926 by Mr Pierre Beyrand.

Through the direction given by his son Jacques Beyrand, the company joined the U.K. Group Johnson Matthey in 1969 under the name of Matthey-Beyrand.

The “export” department opened in 1972 and thanks to the joint effort of Jean-Marie Beyrand and Robert Boardman,the sales developed in a significant way in the US and in Europe to reach today 60% of total,with commercial offices in North Carolina (USA) and in Stoke-On-Trent (UK).
In 1995, Pierre Beyrand succeeded his father Jacques.
The company obtained the ISO 9001 certification from the BSI in 1999.

In September 2001,Johnson Matthey sold the company to Pierre Beyrand.

Beyrand was awarded the “Living Heritage Company” label in 2008 and the "AEO" (Authorized Economic Operator) status in 2012.

The company which employs 60 people, is a major supplier to prestigious brands such as Bernardaud, Haviland in France, Lenox in the US and the Wedgwood-Royal Doulton Group in the UK.
